Net income of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan increased by 46.7% in 2018. This was announced by the CEO Halyk Bank Umit Shayakhmetova at a press conference in Almaty today.
"Last year, Halyk Bank and Kazkommertsbank successfully completed integration. Yes, there were several technical issues, however, as I said before it was completed successfully. In the twelve months of 2018 Halyk Bank net profit increased by 46, 7% and made up 254,28 billion tenge. Moreover, the net margin increased from 4,9% in 2017 to 5,1% ", - noted Shayakhmetova.
In addition, she also noted that in April this year, Halyk Bank plans to obtain a license to open a subsidiary bank in Uzbekistan.
"In April this year, we are waiting for a full license to open a subsidiary of the bank in Uzbekistan. We also selected the location of the subsidiary bank. Uzbekistan is the sixth country. It should be noted that the bank firstly serves only legal entities, and by the end of the year it will also serve individuals ", - said Umut Shayakhmetova.
The bank will be the first Kazakhstani bank to have a subsidiary in Uzbekistan. This days, Halyk Bank serves the CIS countries in Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Georgia.
