The Republican State Enterprise "Kazgidromet" summarized the results of environmental monitoring for 2017. As a result, according to the monitoring, 7 regions were included in the list of the highest pollution levels.

According to the information, monitoring was conducted in 49 regions in one year. 32 of them are referred to the "low" pollution level, 10 to the "high" class of air pollution and 7 (9 in 2016) to the "high" class of air pollution .

So, the list of the cities with high level of pollution: Zhezkazgan, Karatau, Karaganda, Shymkent, Temirtau, Oskemen and Glubokoe region.

The list of the cities with raised levels of pollution: Astana, Almaty, Aktobe, Zhanatas, Semey, Ridder, Taraz, Aktau, Balkhash, Shu.

The list of the cities with low level of pollution: Stepnogor, Aksai, Arkalyk, Zhitikara, Zyryanov, Kentau, Lisakovsk, Rudnyi, Saran, Kostanay, Turkistan, Oral, Kokshetau, Atyrau, Petropavl, Aksu, Kyzylorda, Pavlodar, Zhanaozen, Kulsary, Ekibastuz, Taldykorgan cities and Berezovka, Beineu, Akay, Toretam, Kordai, Sarybulak, Yanvarcevo, Karabalyk villages, "Burabai" and Shuchinsk-Burabai resort zone.

According to the information, the level of atmospheric air pollution in Almaty, Astana, Kyzylorda, Balkash and Beineu and Akai villages decreased in compare to 2016 and positive dynamics was observed.

However, the level of atmospheric air pollution in Aktau, Karatau, Oskemen and Glubokoe increased compared to 2016.

In other regions the pollution level remained at the same level as it was in 2016.
