Samal Yeslyamova, who appeared in the picture of Sergei Dvortsevoy "Aika", became the best actress of the 71st Cannes Film Festival.
The awarding ceremony held on May 19 at the Palais des Festivals.
The social drama "Aika" tells about a migrant girl from Kyrgyzstan who gave birth to a child in Moscow and was forced to leave him in the hospital, about her emotional feelings and the nascent feeling of motherhood.
The film was made with the participation of five companies: the studio of Sergei Dvortsevoy "Kinodvor", as well as companies from Germany, Poland, China, Kazakhstan.
