The parties also discussed the issues of increasing the effectiveness of cooperation in combating terrorism, rports the press service of the National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
"The main topic of the meeting was security in the frontier territories of the two republics. They also discussed the issues of increasing the effectiveness of interdepartmental cooperation in the fight against terrorism and extremism. The work of the Intergovernmental Commission on delimitation and demarcation of the state border of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan is underway", says in the statement.
According to the press center, during the meeting in Isfara, the participants came to an agreement "to strengthen cooperation to ensure the security of the two countries, joint anti-Semitic activities of religious extremist organizations and international terrorist organizations".
