Over two years, 66 billion tenge is stolen in Kazakhstan, reports the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
At the meeting of the General Prosecutor's Office there were discussed issues related to the legality of investigation of criminal cases of embezzlement of the state programs, drug provision of the population. According to the official data, 6 thousand (5940) criminal cases investigated by law enforcement agencies since the year 2017 have stolen 66 billion tenge. So far, 2,685 of those criminal cases have been brought to trial.
According to prosecutors, the Government has considered the proposal on offenses detected during the inspection at the Ministry of Health. According to the prosecutor's office 48 officers were brought to justice, and three were dismissed.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Healthcare Yelzhan Birtanov dwelled on the roadmap for measures to improve the situation.
