Today, on June 9, the day of the early presidential elections, hundreds of people gathered at the Astana Square and the Aliya-Manshuk Park in Almaty to protest. However, the protesters were met by the police.

At 11:00 am, a group of protesters gathered at Astana Square and Aliya-Manshuk Park. After some time, protesters were dragged onto buses by riot police.

Gathered people shouted that "police protects people", "the police together with the people". However, police dragged protesters onto special cars.

The protesters then gathered at the monument of Aliya Moldakulova and Manshuk Mametova and called the "Boikot". In addition to the police, special forces and internal troops were mobilized to distribute the group to the monument.

Recall, the day before Mukhtar Ablyazov, who was banned in Kazakhstan, invited public to protest on June 9-10
