The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, reports the press service of Akorda.

During the meeting, the Head of State noted that the Kazakh-Turkish relations are developing dynamically in the spirit of friendship, mutual understanding and cooperation.

"We have a very close relationship with deep historical roots. A significant personal contribution to their strengthening was made by the First President - Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev. Today, the trade turnover between our countries is about 2 billion dollars, many Turkish companies are successfully operating on the Kazakhstani market. We share a common vision on a wide range of issues on the international agenda, including cooperation within multilateral organizations", - said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

In his turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu thanked the President for the meeting and noted the constructive nature of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
