The day before, at the initiative of the Kyrgyz side, a telephone conversation took place between the Foreign Affairs Minister of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov and his Tajik counterpart Sirojiddin Muhriddin, reports 24kg citing the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the ministry, the heads of the foreign affairs agencies discussed the situation on Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border.

«The ministers noted the need to relieve tension and importance of close cooperation between the relevant authorities of the two countries for the sake of preserving and strengthening good neighborly relations between the two fraternal peoples,» the report says.

Recall, a conflict occurred the day before on Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan border. As a result of the conflict, one person died and 20 people injured.
