The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev dismissed the government of the country. He signed the corresponding decree on Thursday.
Nazarbayev criticized the work of the government. The President declared the ministers' inability to work with the public. According to Nazarbayev, the government together with the National Bank did not manage to fully create real tools for high-quality economic growth.
“As a result of the formal approach of the executive bodies, part of the socially vulnerable segments of the population are not covered by targeted social assistance”, - the president’s statement said. Askar Mamin has been appointed Acting Prime Minister.
In addition, in the past two weeks, mass protests of mothers of many children, who demand to improve the quality of life of their families, are taking place in Kazakhstan. The protests began after five young girls were killed in a fire at a temporary house in Astana.
