It was said by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. He commented the situation between Russia and Ukraine during his interview to the Channel "Russia 24".

"I have a question, why it was happened with Ukraine? Why Ukraine itself was not given the opportunity to deal with their internal affairs? I know that Putin and Russia do not want to get a piece of Ukraine. Russia is the continent, which pretends as a country, and Russia is civilization, which pretends as a nation. Jose Manuel Barroso told me this when we were talking.  I will not hide that I worry about Ukraine too. I studied there. I know the Ukrainians, I have friends there. We understand each other very well. We sing the same songs,we have common jokes. I want very much to restore the relations that were, when Russia and Ukraine were with us", - noted the President of Kazakhstan.
