President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has supported the idea of creating the first non-state adoption agency.
A businessman and the initiator and chairman of the project “House of Mother” Aidyn Rakhimbayev addressed the head of state during the VIII Civil Forum. He said that 12 accredited foreign agencies work in the country, which can take children for adoption by foreigners, and there is no Kazakhstani agencies. According to Rakhimbayev, businessmen have been trying to open such an institution at their own expense for two years, but they could not do it.
“Foreign companies have a license and legal status. However, we with sufficient experience, living in our country, cannot open such an agency due to legislative conflicts. Probably, it was once a long time ago that the rule was adopted that foreign agencies could adopt children, but this was not provided for Kazakhstani agencies. We are asking your assistance in creating a non-state national adoption agency on the basis of the "House of Mother" project", - he asked Nazarbayev.
In his turn, Nursultan Nazarbayev has supported the idea of creating the first non-state adoption agency. Then he said: “People who have the opportunity to raise children should take them from the orphan houses. There should not be orphan houses in Kazakhstan”, - noted the President.
