The mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, which became the symbol of the city of Turkistan, entered the World list of the most attractive objects for tourists. This became known at the International Investment and Tourism Forum "Ancient Turkistan - New Opportunities".
The forum was opened with a welcoming speech by the Secretary General of the Eurasian Economic Cooperation Organization Vladimir Piskurev. Moreover, he handed the certificate to Zhanseit Tuimebayev, mayor of the region during the ceremony.
As stated by him, the mausoleum of Arystan Bab and the ancient settlement of Otrar were included to the World list of the most attractive objects.
"Today is a very significant day for the Turkistan, and three historical objects of this region received the status of world-wide importance of the International Committee on Tourism Attractiveness and Sustainable Tourism Development, which were supported by all states in the Committee. Today, at once several historical objects entered the World list of the most attractive for tourists", - emphasized Piskurev.
In addition, experts mentioned that this event will help to increase the number of tourists coming to the region.
