Tokayev talked over the phone with Shavkat Mirziyoyev

The Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his birthday, and wished him continued success in state activities for the benefit of the fraternal Uzbek people, Akorda reports.

The presidents discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between the two countries, including the implementation of the agreements reached on the basis of the state visit of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Uzbekistan on April 14-15 this year.

The President of Kazakhstan expressed interest in expanding multifaceted contacts with Uzbekistan.
