On the order of Tokayev, Kairat Abdrakhmanov has been appointed as an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Denmark concurrently.

Kairat Abdrakhmanov has been working in system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1993, and held the posts of Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Israel, Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia, permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, the OSCE, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Besides, he was Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UN from 2013 to 2016, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan from 2016 to 2019. In addition, in March of this year, he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Sweden.
