A new project on access to media, Supporting Improvement of Legal Environment for Media in Tajikistan, has been launched by the Public Association “Independent Center for Human Rights Protection”, reports Asia plus.
The project, which is being implemented in the framework of the Media Camp program under support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in particular, provides for working out a package of regulatory legal acts, conducting educational workshops for media lawyers, organizing legal consultations for representatives of media, bloggers an social network activists, according to the Independent Center for Human Rights Protection.
The project also provides for covering the problem of access to information in the country, which is one of the most pressing issues in Tajikistan.
