Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan is expected to be increased to $2 billion after equipping of Kazakh checkpoints, said Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan Nuraly Bukeikhanov during the Kyrgyz-Kazakh business forum on May 20 in Bishkek, reports Akipress news agency.

Government of Kazakhstan also plans to improve the checkpoints.

The trade turnover between the nations grew from $650 million in 2016 to $865 million in 2018. "Growth in export of Kazakh goods to Kyrgyzstan was impossible without equipping of the checkpoints", - noted Nuraly Bukeikhanov.
