President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the Center for Urban Development of Almaty, reports the press service of Akorda.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the activities of the digital geo-information center, the Scientific Research Institute "Almatygenplan", the Almaty Development Center, the public reception "Open Almaty". The head of state reviewed the plans for further arranging the urban space and examined the holographic model of the city in the form of a 3D projection.

The President of Kazakhstan was also informed about the implementation of major infrastructure projects in the Industrial Zone of Almaty. 39 projects worth 144 billion tenge are being implemented here, 5,000 jobs have been created at the expense of Japanese, Korean, Chinese, German and other foreign investments. In particular, the following facilities are located in the Industrial Zone: Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan LLP, electric bus production plant Falcon Euro Bus LLP, Tokyo Rope Almaty LLP, manufacturing, food and light industry enterprises, waste sorting complex.

Following the visit, the Head of State gave a number of instructions for the development of the city of Almaty.
