The documents do not need to be changed in connection with renaming of the capital of Kazakstan, reports the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan.
“Renaming the name of capital does not impose obligations on replacing title documents with real estate. Such as the contract of sale, donation, acts of acceptance into operation and others, as well as documents on registration of acts of civil status - birth certificate, death certificate, marriage conclusion, dissolution, and so on”, says in the ministry.
Meanwhile, in the information systems of the Ministry of Justice, the name of the settlement from Astana to the city of Nur-Sultan will be changed automatically.
In addition, it should be noted that on March 20, during the ceremony of taking oath, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev suggested renaming Astana in honor of the First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. Moreover, Maslikhat of Astana supported the renaming of the capital of Kazakhstan to Nur-Sultan. And on the eve of March 23, the interim president of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree on renaming the capital of the country Astana to Nur-Sultan.
However, On Friday, dozen people protested during the celebration Nauryz in Almaty and Astana against the renaming capital of country Astana to Nur-Sultan and changing the name of the central streets of the cities in the name of Nursultan Nazarbayev. It was proposed by the new President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He also noted that the portraits of the First President of Kazakhstan in buildings and offices will not be taken.
