On February 14, the grandson of the first president of Uzbekistan and the son of his eldest daughter Gulnara asked for help from President of Uzbekistan.
He said that her mother's health deteriorated. He also mentioned that she was not provided with medical care. 26-year-old Islam Karimov who lives in London at present asked Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to pay attention to his situation. He wrote about it in the Instagram social network.
"With unclear reasons my mother is under pressure, and her blood pressure went up, but doctors are not allowed to help my mother. Previously, contracts and agreements were signed between prosecutors and lawyer, however some people do not like that. I ask the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is known since my childhood, to listen to me and my sister. My sister is near my mother because as I mentioned before her health deteriorated. I am concerned about my mum and my sister", - he wrote to the Instagram account.
However, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan called the allegations of the grandson of the former President unfounded. “There are no obstacles for visiting the doctors of Gulnara Karimova, in particular, the doctors chosen by her can visit her any time.. There is no pressure on her, her son’s allegations are unfounded”, - says in the message.
