A council of foreign investors will be created under the president of Uzbekistan. This was said by the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Investments Laziz Kudratov at a meeting of the International Press Club.
As stated by him, the new council will effectively address the problems of foreign investors, as well as develop recommendations for the government to improve the investment climate and create more open, transparent and efficient business environment. The project will be implemented with the participation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
In addition, earlier this week, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said at a meeting on attracting investment that a Fund to support foreign investors would be created in the country in the near future. The work of the organization will be based on international experience.
