Uzbekistan introduced visa-free regime for German citizens. So, from January 15, 2019, German citizens will be able to visit Uzbekistan without visa for 30 days. This was reported on January 3 by the press service of the State Committee of Tourism.
Earlier, a simplified visa regime for Uzbekistan was granted to the citizens of Germany and another 12 countries. According to the decree, it was envisaged that a visa-free regime would be effective for citizens of these countries from January 1, 2021.
According to official data, in 2018, 18,994 German citizens arrived in Uzbekistan. Their number in 2016 was 4,889 people and 7,207 people in 2017.
In addition, currently Uzbekistan has a visa-free regime with Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Ukraine.
From February 2018, citizens of Israel, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey and Japan can come to Uzbekistan without a visa for up to 30 days.
