US President Donald Trump ordered the extension of the decree on sanctions against several people around the world for a year, including the son of Russian Attorney General Artem Chaika and the daughter of the former President of Uzbekistan Gulnara Karimova.
In a statement, the White House said that Trump decided to "extend for one year the state of emergency prescribed in executive decree 13,818 and associated with serious human rights violations and corruption."
Recall, in December of last year, the United States imposed sanctions against 13 people around the world, as well as against 39 more individuals and companies associated with them. Among them were the former President of the Gambia, Yaya Jamme, the Chinese state security official Gao Yan, the ex-commander of the "Golden Eagle" Sergey Kisyuk.
