Representative offices of EU to be opened in Central Asian countries. This was reported by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Maria Federica Mogherini.
According to her, the European Union is interested in developing cooperation with Central Asia. So, it is planned to open representative offices of EU in Central Asian countries, including Turkmenistan.
“Our meeting took place in a very important and intensive week. Last Monday, the EU foreign ministers noted a new positive dynamic in relations with Central Asia, new opportunities that open up for us. We have initiated a process with Uzbek Foreign Minister Kamilov on a new expanded agreement on partnership and cooperation between the European Union and Uzbekistan. Similar negotiations are underway with Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. Tajikistan also said that they are ready to begin the negotiation process ”, - said Federica Mogherini.
Recall, it is interesting to note that the representatives of EU and Central Asia met in Brussels. They published a special document during the meeting. According to this document, the EU will allocate 124 million euro to implement projects in Central Asian countries.
