On November 21, the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, at a meeting with the diplomatic corps in Astana, said that Kazakhstan is ready to provide a platform for talks between Russia, the United States and North Korea on nuclear disarmament.
“Nuclear powers should show responsibility and reaffirm their commitment to the principles and ideas of non-proliferation of weapons. Today, I think, humanity can be in an alarming condition, not knowing what will happen in the future. Therefore, I made my proposal that countries such as the United States, Russia, China, and the EU will eventually feel responsibility for the entire planet - they should have started a dialogue, expert-level negotiations at the highest level", - said Nazarbayev at the meeting.
The head of state noted that Kazakhstan is ready to provide its platform for negotiations on nuclear disarmament issues. “Restoring the dialogue of trust will be a firm guarantee against the increasing risks, various incidents that could provoke a full-scale nuclear crisis. Over the years, the world community has been raising my question of strengthening the non-proliferation regime as a key task for all of humanity”, - mentioned the president.
