​Kazakhstan and Russia were held consular consultations in Astana

Kazakhstan-Russian consultations on consular issues were held in accordance with the Plan of Cooperation Measures between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation for 2018, reports press service of Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

The Kazakh delegation was headed by Tauboldy Umbetbaev, the Director of the Consular Service Department, while the Russian delegation was headed by Ivan Volinkin, the Director of the Consular Department.

During the consultations, which were held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, the parties discussed in detail the state of bilateral relations in the consular field, issues on the protection of the rights and interests of citizens of the two states, on the outcomes of which the corresponding Protocol was signed.
