On December 14, 2018, the Kazakh airline SCAT will open a flight from Astana to Dushanbe, reports on the official website of the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan.

It is noted that the opening of the flight was possible thanks to the work carried out by the aviation authorities of the two countries and the airline SCAT in the framework of intergovernmental commissions on trade and economic cooperation and bilateral negotiations.

It is planned that flights on the route Astana-Dushanbe-Astana will be operated twice a week on Fridays and Sundays on an aircraft of the type CRJ-200. Currently, the sale of airline tickets is open, which can be purchased on the SCAT airline website or at air ticket sales agencies. The cost of an economy class flight from Astana to Dushanbe will be 46,169 tenge (124 dollars).

Previously, airplanes from Astana to Dushanbe and back carried out flights with a transfer in Almaty. Engaged in these flights of the airline "Tajik Air" and "Astana Air." Ticket price starts at 107 dollars.
