This was reported by the Prime Minister of Russia during the meeting with the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in Astana. Moreover, the parties discussed the main aspects of cooperation between the two countries, reports the press service of Kazakh President.

The Head of State emphasized the strategic nature of mutually beneficial and dynamically developing cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia.

- Recently I met with President Vladimir Putin. Relations between Kazakhstan and Russia are worthy of imitation. We need to maintain this relationship", - said Nursultan Nazarbayev.

In addition, the President of Kazakhstan stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two countries within the framework of international organizations such as the Eurasian Economic Union, the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the CIS.

The Head of State noted the important role of the governments of Kazakhstan and Russia in strengthening trade and economic relations and interregional relations, and thanked Dmitry Medvedev for his contribution to the development of bilateral cooperation.

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation said that as a result of mutually beneficial relations between the two countries, the volume of trade between Kazakhstan and Russia increased.

- Kazakhstan is a strategic partner and ally of Russia. Our relationship differs in depth and depth of history. Many top-level meetings, as well as good relations between our governments and business communities, are evidence of that. We meet at a variety of meetings throughout the year. This is a pleasure. Without such relations, full-fledged interaction can not be established", -  noted Medvedev.
