The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev ordered to the government to open a new trade zone with Uzbekistan and "Turkistan" border crossing. This was reported at the meeting for the development of the Turkistan region.

The possibility of opening of the "Central Asia" trading area should be considered soon. It will give an opportunity to develop not only Turkistan region, but also to improve economy of the republic. It is expected that the trade turnover with Uzbekistan will reach 5 billion dollars per year by 2020. That is why, I order to open the new trade zone with Uzbekistan and "Turkistan" international border crossing", - told Nursultan Nazarbaev.

2018 is a year of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan. According to the official information ,the trade turnover between two countries increased to 8,6 per cent and made up 2  billion dollars in 2017. In addition, it is interesting to note that the trade turnover between two countries rose to 52 per cent from January to June of the current year. And export of Uzbekistan grew to 48 per cent.

Additionly, it should be noted that this year, neighbouring countries will make an effort to increase the volume of trade turnover to 3 billion dollars, and to 5 billion dollars by 2020.
