Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulates Sooronbay Jeenbekov on the Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic and wished the fraternal people peace, stability and prosperity, reports press service of Kazakh President.

- There are no people closer than Kazakhs and Kyrgyz. From the first day of independence, I have always supported Kyrgyzstan," said Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The President of Kazakhstan stressed that a roadmap has been signed between the two countries, and an intergovernmental commission is working effectively.

- Since your election, we have often met, discussed many questions. Bilateral relations are rising to a new level. Trade is growing. To date, all issues between our countries have been resolved, including cross-border issues," the Head of State said.

In turn, Sooronbai Jeenbekov thanked Nursultan Nazarbayev for accepting the invitation to visit Cholpon-Ata for a visit and noted the friendly nature of the relations between the two countries.

At the end of the meeting, the Heads of State discussed prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on the issues of the regional and international agenda.
