The head of state was informed about the fulfillment of these instructions and future plans for the development of the capital, reports Akorda.kz.

The meeting was attended by the Head of the Presidential Administration A.Dzhaksybekov, akim of the city of Astana A.Isekeshev, the first deputy akim of the city of Astana S.Khoroshun and the head of the city department of architecture, town-planning and land relations B.Taitaliev.

Nursultan Nazarbayev pointed out that in the process of city development it is important to take into account the possibilities of the existing infrastructure and existing communications.

Aset Isekeshev informed the President of Kazakhstan about the five-year plan for the development of the capital and prospects for the construction of new facilities.

- The plan provides for five development zones. Until 2023, will be built 9.5 million square meters of housing, this - 156 thousand apartments for 500 thousand people. And until 2027 - 16 million square meters for 800 thousand people. Thus, according to your instructions, 2 million people will be able to live in the city, the akim of the capital reports.

Following the meeting, the Head of State gave a number of specific instructions on the further development of Astana.
