"By the decree of the Board of the NBRK from May 29, 2018, the license for accepting deposits of individuals, opening bank accounts of individuals of JSC "Bank of Astana" was suspended until August 29, 2018, inclusive,"  the press service of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NBRK) reports.

The decision was made by the National Bank in the framework of the supervisory responsibility for a violation by the bank of the requirements of the legislation.

"The license is suspended for attracting new deposits and opening new bank accounts of individuals and does not concern servicing of existing deposits and customers of the bank," the information says.

Recall, in early May, the international agency S & P Global Ratings downgraded the ratings of JSC "Bank of Astana" to the level of "D" (default) due to non-fulfilment of financial obligations.
