Repair of the road and improvement of the coast of Lake Alakol in the East Kazakhstan region will be completed in 2018, the press service of the region reports.

"The works on improvement of the coast of the lake will be continued, we set the task to improve and expand the tourist infrastructure. Thus, 817 million tenge will be allocated for the improvement of the Alakol coast this year.Reconstruct the roads for 700 million tenge from Alakol to other settlements and, I assure that this year Alakol will become completely different, "Daniyal Akhmetov, akim of the East Kazakhstan region, said at the meeting with the population.

According to the head of the region, over the past two years in the region, repaired roads along the main tourist destinations for a total of KZT4.3 bn.

In addition, by the beginning of the season from Semey and Ust-Kamenogorsk, trains will be launched to the Zhalanashkol station near Alakol, until the lake can be reached for only 2000 tenge, said the akim.
