Miners can retire at 50, if they have enough retirement savings, commented one of the main requirements of ArcelorMittal Temirtau miners, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Kazakhstan’s Population Tamara Duissenova.
‘We were enrolled in the law in 2014, and people working an unsafe and unhealthy condition can retire at 50, if there are enough retirement savings’, she said.
‘Everyone who works in a safe and healthy environment send 10% salary pouring into their retirement account. However, people who are working an unsafe working condition deduct 15% of their salary. In the past year 362 people, not only miners of ArcelorMittal Temirtau, also who are working in hazardous working conditions have been retired for 50 years’, the minister said.
It has been acknowledged that around thousand workers of ArsenorMittal Temirtau have enough retirement savings, and they retire at 50. That is why we can say that retirement ages for miners settled by law.
Recall, starting from December 11, ArcelorMittal Temirtau miners have protested, demanding higher wages and reducing pension ages.
