At the mine Kostenko stopped the combustion process

The situation at the Kostenko mine stabilized, the burning process was stopped, reports the press service of "ArcelorMittal Temirtau".

At the time of the necessary technical measures, 546 employees of the Kostenko mine were transferred to other facilities of the coal department of ArcelorMittal Temirtau. Another 282 people are on holidays and on sick leave.

The fire at the mine  Kostenko occurred on March 10. There was a fire in the area of ​​the ventilating fuse. At the time of the fire, there were 113 people in the mine. None of them suffered, all were brought to the surface.

Experts called the preliminary cause of the fire a natural phenomenon - self-heating of coal. Now the mine operates in the life-support mode.

Then, JSC "ArcelorMittal Temirtau" presented a new security system. Modern technology provides equipping miners with sensors for methane and oxygen, a speaker and a video camera.
