Prime Minister Askar Mamin took part in the environmental action ء“Bىrge – Taza Kazakhstan” to clean the Koyandy reservoir, reports press service of PM.
Greeting the participants of the environmental action, the head of Kazakh Government noted the significance of the event and called on akims of all regions, environmental activists, youth organizations and volunteers to support this initiative.
“I am sure that the action will become widespread, will become nationwide and will find a response among citizens. The action ء“Bىrge – Taza Kazakhstan” will improve the ecological situation in the country,” said Askar Mamin.
More than 1,200 people took part in the action. Among them are members of the Government, akim of Nur-Sultan, akim of Akmola region, representatives of state and public organizations, the diplomatic corps, local executive bodies, students, volunteers.
The participants of the action cleared the litter area to the reservoir, installed special tanks for collection. Waste to be recycled was stored in yellow containers, and non-recyclable waste was stored in green containers.
