The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received Malaysia’s delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Marzuki Yahya, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The state and prospects of further development of Uzbekistan – Malaysia relations in various spheres were discussed at the meeting.

It was confirmed that the parties attach special importance to filling the agenda of cooperation with concrete initiatives and projects in all areas of mutual interest.

Special attention was paid to activation of tourism and cultural-humanitarian exchanges. It was noted that the mutual introduction of a visa-free regime for citizens for 30 days contributes to the growth of tourist flows in both directions.

The parties also considered proposals for organization and implementation of joint research projects between the involved organizations and institutions of the two countries. The parties exchanged views on international and regional issues.
