Uzbekistan has become a leader in the import of Russian cars among states that are not members of the Eurasian Economic Union.

According to the Avtostat analytical agency, in the first half of 2019, Uzbekistan imported 4,300 cars from Russia. The second and third places after Uzbekistan were taken by the Czech Republic (4000) and Latvia (3000).

It is reported that imports of Russian cars in Uzbekistan in 2019 increased by 32%.

The Uzbek holding company Uzavtosanoat intends to increase the volume of purchases of cars and spare parts in Russia to $ 118.6 million. In 2018, this figure was $ 25.5 million.
