“Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin and Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov took part in the opening ceremony of the international road Beineu - Akzhigit - border of Uzbekistan”, reads a statement.
The Head of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan stressed the importance of opening the road for the development of the transport infrastructure of Central Asia, increasing trade volumes, and implementing transit potential.
The Head of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan noted that “it is deeply symbolic that this project started in the year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan, in the opening ceremony of which President of Kazakhstan K.Tokayev took part”.
In turn, the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Aripov noted the strategic significance of the event for the two neighboring fraternal countries of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
“The successful implementation of this project within the framework of the Nurly Zhol state program will give a new impetus to the Silk Road trade flows and the development of our entire region,” said Aripov, noting that “this highway is, first of all, of great importance for further enhancing trade and economic relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
