The population census in Kazakhstan is planned to be transferred to 2020

The population census in Kazakhstan is planned to be transferred to 2020 in order to observe the 10-year period between them.

According to the press service of the Committee on Statistics of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in accordance with Kazakhstan legislation and international recommendations, a population census is conducted at least once every 10 years. This is done in order to ensure that the census dates are comparable to the next world rounds. Therefore, for the census, Kazakhstan was determined the preferred dates from October 2019 to October 2020.

"In this regard, in 2020 the most acceptable dates for the census are February-March. Taking into account a number of organizational and instructive issues related to the preparation and conduct of the national census, it was decided to conduct a national census of the population of Kazakhstan in early 2020", - says in the department.

Recall,  initially it was planned to conduct a census of the population in Kazakhstan at the end of 2019.
