Preparation for participation in the XXIII Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang is at the final stage. Now, Kazakhstan team has 49 licenses, but the last results will publish in 2-3 days, said Ilsiyar Kanagatov, Kazakhstan’s Chairman of the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture.
‘We hope that skiers and some athletes will receive licenses to participate the Winter Olympics. The preparation of our national team goes according to plan’, he mentioned.
Also, Kanagatov announced the number of payments to the winners of the Olympics in South Korea. ‘For medals from the state, like at the last Olympics, 250 thousand dollars for the athlete and the coach for the first place, 150 thousand for the second place and 75 thousand for the third place will provide’, Kanagatov said.
He also noted that the National Team places high hopes on Alexey Poltoranin, Dmitry Reykherda, Yulia Galysheva and Denis Ten.
