The draft law "On ratification of the Extradition Agreement between Kazakhstan and Ukraine" has been adopted by the Majilis at the plenary session of the Senate.

The law was ratified on 29 March. Nurlan Abdirov, Chairman of the Majilis Committee for Legislation and Judicial Reform: "According to the Treaty, the parties undertake to extradite each other for the purpose of prosecution or execution of a sentence for crimes resulting in extradition of wanted persons in their territory. Ratification of the Treaty will enhance the effectiveness of cooperation between the two countries in the fight against crime. The Committee is ready to work on the draft law and draw a conclusion on it till May 27, 2020", - he said.
