It is reported in the new annual report of the World Bank Group (WB) Doing Business-2020.
“In Uzbekistan, it has become easier to protect minority investors, pay taxes, enforce contracts and trade across the border,” the press service of the WB office in Uzbekistan reports.
In 2019 Uzbekistan took 69th place in the ranking among 190 countries of the world, gaining 69.9 points out of 100. Since 2018, the country has risen from 76th place to 7 positions up.
Together with four other states in the Europe and Central Asia region, including Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Kosovo, Uzbekistan is among the 20 countries that have made the most progress in improving the business climate.
