“On September 12, the fourth round of political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of Uzbekistan and Malaysia held in Tashkent. During the consultations, a thorough review of bilateral relations was carried out with emphasis on the prospects for further development of cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, tourism, cultural and humanitarian and other fields,” the message reads.

The total volume of mutual trade in 2018 exceeded $ 78 million, which is almost 20% more than the same indicator of the previous year. The parties also have significant potential for increasing trade. In this context, the question was raised of resuming the meetings of the Joint Trade Committee after a 10-year hiatus.
