Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Turkey Ziya Selchuk, reports the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the state of bilateral cooperation in the field of education. They also noted that the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, which has become a kind of educational bridge between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, is an exemplary example of mutually beneficial cooperation.

The Turkish side assured of the solution of the issue of providing teachers with salaries in the Kyrgyz language and literature, folk art and music, which will be sent from Kyrgyzstan to the village of Uluu in the Pamir region of Erdish of Van province.

The parties also noted the need for the speedy signing of an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of education.
