President of Uzbekistan inspected the new highway that runs through the territory of Qibray and Yuqorichirchiq districts of Tashkent region, reports UzA.
Construction of the road with a length of more than 19 kilometers will be carried out in three stages. The 12-kilometer stretch of road, which includes a bridge over Chirchiq River, has been completed.
As it is known, the existing highway connecting Tashkent with Charvaq zone is overloaded. Traffic jams occur during the tourism season. The new road will take on most of this load, reduce the distance, as a result, getting to the resort zones will become easier and faster.
The President noted the need for continuing road construction, training qualified personnel for ensuring high quality of activity. Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave recommendations on implementation of the German experience in the activities of Tashkent Institute of Design, Construction and Maintenance of Automobile Roads, organization of regional colleges for training middle-level specialists.
