Bakytzhan Sagintayev has been appointed as a new mayor of the city of Almaty by the decree of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, reports Akorda.
According to the press service of the Prime Minister, Askar Mamin during his working trip visited Almaty to participate in a regular meeting with residents of the city. During the speaking at the event, Mamin announced a new appointment of Sagintayev.
The head of state held a meeting with representatives and activists of the city and introduced the new mayor. Sagintayev has been holding the posts of Chief of Staff of President Office, Prime Minister, Deputy PM and others.
