Tajikistan to allocate $ 5 million for the reconstruction of the Tajik energy system with the integrated electricity supply system in Central Asia, reported the Tajik Telegraph Agency.

"The sum is a part of a total of eight shares from the total cost of the project, the realization of which is financed by the Asian Development Bank," the Ministry of Finance reported.

The total amount of the project will be $ 40 million, $ 35 million will be allocated by the Asian Development Bank on the grant basis.

The project provides for full recovery and consolidation of energy systems in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, which is a parallel operation of the Tajik energy system with a regional breakthrough that was cut off in 2009.
