Elmira Sukhanberdiyeva, Vice-Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, was arrested in Nur-Sultan, zakon.kz reports.

The information was confirmed in the press service of the capital court.

“A specialized inter-district investigative court authorized a measure of restraint in the form of detention on suspect Elmira Sukhanberdiyeva,” the court said.

The arrest is authorized on August 2. It became known yesterday that the National Bureau of Anti-Corruption of Kazakhstan is conducting an investigation against the Vice-Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
