The results of the study of statistical data show a high growth rate of the number of foreign tourists in Uzbekistan. Thus, during the 1st quarter of 2019, the number of foreign tourists amounted to 1.3 million people. This figure is 42% higher than in the same period last year (972.2 thousand people in the first quarter of 2018), the Uzbek Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

At the same time, the growth rate of foreign visitors to Uzbekistan shows approximately the same level. Thus, the growth in the number of foreign tourists from CIS countries and far abroad was 38%. The growth in the number of tourists from Central Asia was 44%.

From far-abroad countries and the CIS, the largest number of tourists to Uzbekistan arrive from the Russian Federation, Turkey, Afghanistan, China, and Korea.

If we consider the age category of arriving foreign tourists, we can see the predominance of the category of persons aged 31-55 years, whose number is 53.2% of the total number of tourists. The next are tourists under the age of 30 years - 27.4%, while tourists over 55 are 19.2%.
