This was discussed at a meeting of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, reports the press service of the Uzbek President.

“China is one of the largest trade, economic and investment partners of Uzbekistan. The trade turnover is consistently growing, exceeding $ 6.4 billion by the end of 2018, while in the first quarter of this year it grew by 50%,” the report says.

As noted, the volume of attracted Chinese investments and loans to the economy of Uzbekistan exceeded $ 8 billion. According to the agreements reached as a result of the state visit to China in May 2017, projects worth more than $ 4.5 billion are being implemented.
